MY HAPPY PLACE
YAYASAN CHOW KIT
A FILM THAT GRANTED ALL STATELESS CHILDREN
WITH A MALAYSIAN PARENT, CITIZENSHIP.
There are over 300,000 stateless people in Malaysia living without basic rights such as healthcare, education and jobs.
These are basic rights that even prisoners are entitled to. And with that contrasting insight in mind,
I wrote this spot about the happiest man in prison with a dark twist that steered away from all cliches in PSA's.
This film became the final push that was much needed after 57 years of suffering for stateless children to be granted citizenship.
